IIIT Allahabad launched its innovative B.Tech. program in Business Informatics in 2019, designed as an interdisciplinary initiative coordinated by Prof. O.P. Vyas, a Senior Professor of IT. The foundational structure of this four-year program was laid during the First Colloquium on Business Informatics, held on December 14, 2018, at IIIT Allahabad. This event brought together industry representatives and academics, fostering discussions that shaped the program’s unique curriculum.

Building on the program's success, Prof. Vyas has envisioned and orchestrated the Second Colloquium on Business Informatics, bringing together academic and research expertise. This colloquium will be jointly organized by faculty members specializing in Business Informatics from Germany’s THM University of Applied Sciences and IIIT Allahabad.

Supported by the ERASMUS+ project for academic mobility, the event will have a co-located workshop on cutting-edge topics such as Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and Federated Learning. Scheduled to take place from January 21 to January 23, 2025, at IIIT Allahabad, the colloquium aims to strengthen global collaboration and advance research in this transformative domain.
